When one door closes…

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Life is change, endlessly moving and shifting. If you try to hold on, you’ll get rope burn. Our spiritual task is to find our inner composure amidst the realization that nothing lasts.

There’s been a lot of changes in my life as well, and I’d like to update you all that’s going on.

YogaFlow Closure, Moving onto Left Coast and Arise in Oakland

My beloved studio, YogaFlow in Walnut Creek, closed down at the end of March. It was a sudden shock to myself and the community, there was a lot of tears amongst students and teachers alike.

But when one door closes, another one opens, and in every crisis there lies opportunity.

So I’ll be adding some more classes at Left Coast Power Yoga, and have hopped on the teaching team at Arise Yoga. Both studios are wonderful with warm communities and talented teachers.

However, I realize that coming to Oakland isn’t viable for everyone. I’m still exploring possibilities in Walnut Creek, but wanted to offer a Livestreamed teaching, which leads me to…

Weekly Dharma Talk: In Person and Live Streamed!

I’m so very excited to offer an in person and live streamed dharma talk and meditation. Every Monday, from 330-430pm PT, I’ll be in person at Left Coast Power Yoga, and available to see you online as well. While I realize it’s a little early for those with day jobs on the West Coast, I wanted anyone across the United States to be able to join.

I’ve been infusing more and more dharma into my yoga teachings, and the 2-3 minutes at the beginning of class just isn’t enough. So I’ll be speaking for around 30-40 minutes, and then we’ll sit and meditate together

To join, just head to FitDegree and select either in person or zoom. I’ll also be emailing the link to my email list, and creating an email list specifically for this gathering.

I’ll upload the audio recording afterward as part of my Living From The Heart series.

And if you’re looking for a deeper dive, join me for…

Mindful Self-Compassion 8-week Training – Online

As a trained Mindful Self-Compassion teacher, I’ve been plotting when my next course is going to be. And I’m super excited to be joining the deeply experienced teacher Victoria Brattini of Laguna Meditation, and Episode 22 of the Learn to Love Podcast, for a course starting this June.

All the info to register should be up in the next couple weeks.

Last Few Months of Coaching

As some of you know, I’m enrolled in a Marriage and Family Therapy program right now, and I’ll be starting an Internship this August. This means soon my focus will shift from Coaching to Therapy. This is a natural evolution in my own life path of serving others and helping to cultivate more love in the world.

What this means for you is that if you are looking for love coaching, I’ll be taking clients and doing sessions until the end of July. So we have four months to work together. If there is any way I can help you in your love life, feel free to reach out.

Learn to Love Podcast Still Going Strong

Although I’ve had to reduce the frequency of episodes from once a week to once every two weeks, the Learn to Love Podcast is still going strong!

We recently had our 133rd episode, and each one has been a wonderful interview with some incredible life lessons from truly insightful guests. I’m so grateful for all of the amazing professionals that have come onto the show and shared their decades of experience.

Definitely check it out and if there’s anything you think should be on the show, let me know.

That’s all for now, but stay tuned for more updates on retreats, workshops, and ceremonial gatherings.

Much love.

Zach
